Privacy, in plain words.

Versed is one small company running five things: Versed Play, Versed Study, Versed Tools, Versed Learn and Versed Teach. This page covers what all five have in common. Each product also has its own policy with the detail for that product, linked at the bottom.

The short version

• Two cookies: one for your pets and coins, one for your plan. No tracking. That is the whole cookie story, and it is the same sentence the bar at the top of every Versed site shows you on your first visit.
• No analytics, no trackers, no ad network, no third-party scripts beyond the fonts and, on the AI tutor, a bot check.
• Nothing is sold, ever. Not your data, not your children's data, not in aggregate.
• Most of it needs no account. Versed Play, Versed Study and Versed Tools have no sign-up at all.

The two cookies

Both are set on .versedapps.com so the suite behaves like one place rather than five strangers. Neither carries your name, your email, or anything you typed.

• versed_id — a random device id, set for one year. It is what makes your pets, coins and XP the same on Versed Play, Versed Study and Versed Learn. It is HttpOnly, so no page can read it, and it is never sent anywhere outside Versed.
• vs_plan — the name of the plan this browser is on, written by Versed Learn. It exists so the bar can stop asking you to buy something you already bought. It holds a plan name and nothing else.

Clearing site data for versedapps.com removes both. Versed Teach adds one session cookie of its own once you sign in, which is what keeps you signed in; that one is covered in the Versed Teach policy.

What stays on your device

A lot, deliberately. Quizzes you make, slides you host, the tools' working files and offline caches all live in your own browser and never reach us. A host's slides never leave the host's laptop. The tools work with the network off for exactly this reason.

Children

Versed is built for students, so we assume children are using it. No product profiles a child, shows a child advertising, or asks a child for more than a nickname. Versed Study's chat filter is deliberately strict. Versed Learn's children's privacy notice has the detail for the app stores.

Your rights, and asking us things

Where a product does hold data for you, you can export it or delete it yourself from inside that product, at any time, without asking. If your local law gives you more rights than that, you have those too. For anything else, write to [email protected] and a human answers.
